A Better Funeral Experience.

Welcome to Queen City Funeral Home

Helping Families Connect, Honor & Remember

Welcome to Queen City Funeral Home locally owned & operated by Mike & Tracy Lee.

Our services are compassionate, sensitive, meaningful, and cost friendly.

We understand the pain associated with death and remain a support to families through certified grief counseling, even after services have been provided.

“In 1868, my great great grandfather, Thomas G Zylks,

moved our family here after a knee injury in the civil war.

Although our local pioneer heritage sprang out of humble means, our continued quest has remained...

to serve and improve our region for the generations that follow.

From the beginning, our goal has always been to serve families

better than they have previously been served. ”

(Tracy Renee Lee, 2011)

Love Notes Band was established in 2024 to fulfill a need within the community of the aging. As Funeral Directors we are often in and out of Elder Care Facilities. As we enter and exit, we find that some residents suffer from loneliness and anxiety. As we discussed things that we could do for these communities, we thought that our family band might be an answer. We sing and provide sing-a-long books to the residents. We also leave the participants a bookmarker with a positive message after our time with them.

We contacted Elder Care Facilities within the Arklatex and our band, The Love Notes Band, now tours various facilities on Mondays. We play and sing for one hour and we visit two facilities each Monday. We arrive 30 minutes early to set up our equipment and it takes another 30 minutes afterwards to tear down our equipment. Therefore, a 2-hour block should be scheduled for the sing-a-long event.

If your facility would like to book the “Love Notes Band,” please contact our offices for availability.
